Opened in February 2025, with the support of the City of Edmonton's Community Safety and Well-Being grant, Amanah is a space where you don’t have to justify your existence, your pain, or your joy. A space where you are understood, where you are seen, where you are held.
Amanah means trust, responsibility, and something that is held with care. But Amanah is more than just a name - it is a collective responsibility.
This space is a promise. A promise that no Muslim woman should ever feel that she has to navigate fear, violence, or marginalization alone.
Our mental health therapy room is a warm and welcoming environment for one-on-one therapy and art therapy, where Muslim women and girls can explore their emotions, process experiences, and find support without judgment. Thoughtfully curated with soft lighting, calming colors, and cozy furnishings, this room is a sanctuary - a place to breathe, reflect, and heal at your own pace.
Our main Amanah space is more than just a room - it is a gathering place for growth, dialogue, and community. This is where we come together for workshops, storytelling, and deep conversations that challenge narratives, spark reflection, and build connections. Designed to be inclusive and welcoming, this space invites Muslim women and girls as well as allies to learn, unlearn, share, and thrive- all within a setting that honors their experiences and voices.
Our flex room is a thoughtfully designed space that serves multiple purposes - it is a child-friendly area where little ones can play safely while their mothers attend programs - always with a caring childminder on duty. It is also a quiet, sacred space for prayer and reflection.
Amanah is located at 8925 51 Ave NW #315, Edmonton, AB T6E 5J3. Call us at (780) 249-1469 or email contact@sisters-dialogue.ca for information on our opening hours and programs.
At Sisters Dialogue, we acknowledge and recognize ourselves as Treaty people. We are deeply committed to advocating for justice and safety on traditional Treaty 6 territory and the North Saskatchewan River territory. This land has long been a gathering place for the Cree, Blackfoot, Saulteaux, Métis, and other Indigenous peoples. As Muslim women, we are inspired by our faith to uphold principles of justice, compassion, and solidarity. As Treaty people, we pledge to work in solidarity with First Nations and Métis communities towards an equitable and just future for all. Our dedication to these principles guides our actions and efforts as we strive to honor, learn from, and build relationships with the Indigenous peoples of this land.
